Research Associate  (Economic Sustainability Theme)

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to studying inequalities and equity in national and local health and care systems, with a focus on resource allocation and payment methods, and designing solutions and evaluating initiatives to increase economic sustainability


You will work with Dr Laura Anselmi, Senior Research Fellow in Health Economics, Matt Sutton, Professor in Health Economics, as well as other members of the Economic Sustainability Research Theme


You will need a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in economics, public health or similar discipline with a substantial quantitative element. You will also need to demonstrate understanding of micro-econometrics or advanced statistics for applied health research, and experience of managing and analysing complex survey and/or administrative data. Knowledge of the English (and Greater Manchester) health and social care systems are desirable.
