Local and Global Recognition for Dr Roman Kislov

Dr Roman Kislov’s work is making a big impact for CLAHRC GM, locally and internationally.

In the most recent Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) magazine, Roman talks about his history as a Doctor in Kyrgyzstan, and how, since 2012, he’s been working to improve the implementation of research in healthcare, in an era of constant change and reform in the NHS.

Roman also features prominently in our new upcoming Project Review document “Our Work. Our Impact” where he sets out his philosophy for how researchers can make a real difference in terms of improving patient outcomes and service delivery, enhancing their careers, and generating new knowledge that the entire academic and health community can benefit from.

As research-to-practice partnerships similar to CLAHRCs are becoming increasingly popular across the globe, there is a lot of interest internationally in what we do in CLAHRC GM. As a full member of the CLAHRC GM team, Roman is helping to spread our work to an international community, with his research influencing the global scientific agenda in the field of knowledge mobilisation. For instance, he has recently led a successful panel submission to the Dissemination & Implementation Conference in Washington DC, bringing together academic teams from three countries currently conducting cutting-edge research on co-production.

As the piece in the AMBS magazine describes, Roman’s work with CLAHRC GM on the study of a knowledge brokering team has received high esteem in the academic community, being awarded a Best Paper at the Academy of Management Conference earlier this year; an accolade that is given to fewer than five per cent of all submissions to the Conference.

Roman’s work is very well deserving of the global attention and focus it has received; and a great example and reflection of the entire CLAHRC GM team.
