Future call for bids for a new CLAHRC and extension to current CLAHRC contract

We are pleased to announce that we have received formal notification from the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) with regards to the contract for the CLAHRC for Greater Manchester. The current CLAHRC contract ends on 30 September 2013, and we have been informed that there will be a three-month paid extension to the existing contract in order to help stabilise the CLAHRC and to help maintain momentum for the research being undertaken. Following on from this notice of paid extension, the NIHR has also confirmed its intention to hold a new, open, competition for NIHR CLAHRCs, to be issued later this year. Further information on this will be made available in due course.
