GM CLAHRC work to be presented at Festival of Public Health UK

Nurse Secondee, Viv Entwistle, will be presenting our chronic kidney disease (CKD) project and improvement tools at the Festival of Public Health UK at University of Manchester on Monday 2 July.

She will be joined by Louise Lester from the Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland (LNR) CLAHRC who collaborated with us on the CKD improvement project. Their presentation, entitled ‘Developing Combined Resources for Improved CKD Detection and Management in Primary Care’ will focus on how both CLAHRCs have each developed separate implementation tools and shared these to increase the efficacy of their projects – leading to a combined contribution to the IMPAKT (IMproving Patient care and Awareness of Kidney disease progression Together) package, designed to help practices improve detection and management of CKD. The Festival for Public Health UK will be on the first floor of the Stopford Building, University of Manchester - Lecture theatres 1-3. It is the first of its kind and will be celebrating public health work from across the UK. This event will bring together students, researchers and workers from within the field and allow them to display their work, as well as providing the opportunity to network with like-minded people.
