IMPAKT team win NIHR new media competition
Our IMPAKT™ collaborative partners at CLAHRC-LNR (Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland)have demonstrated that their creative skills are as innovative as their work to improve kidney care.
The NIHR launched a competition inviting research groups to record a video communicating their research and upload it to YouTube. CLAHRC-LNR took this opportunity to get all of their team involved in showing the viewer why IMPAKT™ can be used by clinicians in primary care to detect chronic kidney disease and avoid progression to secondary care treatment. The video featured a fantastic re-working of an Alanis Morissette song (“Ironic”) to create ‘Chronic’, which was written and performed by the team.
The video also contains nods to other famous artists throughout, and reference to the CKD Improvement Guide, that was of course developed by the CKD team here at CLAHRC-GM and is now a key part of IMPAKT™.
Last week, CLAHRC-LNR were announced as the winners of the competition. We would like to pass our congratulations onto our IMPAKT™ colleagues, and encourage you to take a look at their winning entry – now featured on the NIHR TV YouTube channel.
